The Secret Lives of Mormon WivesTaylor Frankie Paul is looking forward to a “fresh start” following her high-profile split from Dakota Mortensen.

Taylor, 31, took to Instagram on Monday, June 2, to share a video of her and Dakota’s 12-month-old son, Ever. “Helping me pack for somewhere new,” she wrote. “At least I got an angel out of it.”

In the caption, Taylor elaborated on the life change. “If it took all this pain to just get him, I’d do it again,” she added.

Taylor clarified in the comments why she is moving after calling it quits with Dakota, 32.

“I have no shame. If you can post happiness, you can post sadness too,” she replied before noting, “[I am] processing pain and yes I want a fresh start.”

The update came after Dakota addressed speculation about whether he’s expecting a baby with someone else.

“No babies on the way,” Dakota wrote via TikTok on Thursday, May 29. “I am not having a kid with anybody. I haven’t slept with anyone since I have dated Taylor until now. If anybody wants to try to prove that wrong, by all means be my guest.”

He continued: “I just wanted to clear the air because there’s a few girls out here that said they are even pregnant with my child. Lots of crazy stuff but anyways, no baby coming!”

Taylor also weighed in on the drama at the time, writing via TikTok that same day, “A girl claiming to be having his baby as I’m putting myself in timeout for actually being his bm [baby mama]. I think it’s a joke, I sure hope so.”

After welcoming their son Ever, Taylor and Dakota have attempted to coparent while weathering their breakup. The pair were dating when they started filming season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives but called it quits by the time production started on the second season.

“We’ve obviously come a long way to navigate [coparenting],” Taylor, who also shares daughter Indy, 7, and son Ocean, 4, with ex-husband Tate Paul, shared with Us Weekly in a May cover story. “It’s different from my first husband because there’s obviously a friendship there. We adjusted. Whereas [with] Dakota, everything’s fresh. It’s something that we necessarily didn’t want to do but needed to separate.”

Taylor clarified she’s not in a romantic relationship with Dakota but said things between them have “gotten better” recently.

“So it’s an adjustment and we’ve had to learn through the obstacles of this experience to do what’s best for our son,” she added. “Of course when things are heightened, you’re breaking up and it’s not something you wanted and you just had a baby. It was not the prettiest experience, but currently we’ve come a long way.”
