Taylor Swift didn’t make a public appearance during Travis Kelce’s first Chiefs game of the 2025 season — but she did pop up for a romantic date night with her fiancé in the hours that followed.

Although the Kansas City Chiefs were taken down by the Philadelphia Eagles at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, September 14, Swift and Kelce, both 35, kept their post-game spirits by enjoying dinner at Kelce’s restaurant, 1587 Prime. The newly-engaged couple were joined by Kelce’s Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, his wife, Brittany Mahomes, country singer Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn Jae Brown

Swift opted for a chic matching plaid set and brown platform heels for the night out, wearing her hair pinned half up in loose waves. Kelce, for his part, sported his pre-game outfit, which included navy slack shorts, a navy tie and a collared shirt. Patrick, 29, kept it casual in a black hat and white tee, while Brittany, 30, wore a little black dress and pumps.

Kane, meanwhile, rocked an all-black fit and backwards hat, which complemented his wife, who stunned in a lacey black tank top and fitted skirt with a pair of open-toed heels.

Following their dinner, Kane, 31, took to Instagram to share a photo of the group smiling on the restaurant’s staircase. “Happy birthday Pat & congrats TT❤️ thanks for hosting us Britt 🙏🏽,” Brown captioned the post. (Patrick turns 30 on Wednesday, September 17, while Swift and Kelce — a.k.a TT — got engaged last month.)

Kane also shared a photo of Patrick blowing out candles on a series of desserts while his friends, Brittany and 1587 employees clapped and sang happy birthday.

Swift raised eyebrows on Sunday when she made an inconspicuous arrival to Arrowhead Stadium in support of Kelce’s first game of the season. While the pop star usually arrives ahead of kickoff and waves to fans, this time she seemingly waited until the game was half over, choosing instead to enter the stadium behind a moving wall.

While Swift was not visible, eagle-eyed fans noticed her longtime bodyguard, Drew, behind the wall, as well as who appeared to be Swift’s mom, Andrea, and brother, Austin

Once inside, Swift was never seen sitting in her usual box during the Fox broadcast, nor was she mentioned by sportscasters Tom Brady and Kevin Burkhardt, despite Kelce making multiple memorable plays during the game.

Swift does have a history of sneaking into venues stealthily. She famous rode to the stage during her worldwide Eras Tour in a cleaning car, and fans have speculated for years that she would exit her New York City apartment being carried inside an oversized suitcase. She also often carries umbrellas with her to shield herself from photographers.

Still, when it comes to Kelce’s games, Swift has previously not hidden from view. Since she first attended one of the tight end’s games in September 2023, she’s been seen cheering her now-fiancé on from his private box, even taking the field with his family after his AFC and Super Bowl championships.

In December 2024, Swift explained in her TIME person of the year profile that it’s important that she and Kelce find ways to support each other — even when it gets under some people’s skin.

“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in. There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once,” she said of being panned to during games.

She insisted, “I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads and Chads.”

When Swift appeared on Travis and brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast last month, she made a quip about some of the brothers’ fans having a mixed reaction to her, joking, “As we all know, you guys have a lot of male sports fans that listen to your podcast. And I think we all know that if there’s one thing male sports fans want to see in their spaces and on their screens — it’s more of me.”
