WNBA free agency is underway, and several teams have already made major moves — including the Indiana Fever.
On Saturday, the Fever officially re-signed star guard Kelsey Mitchell to a multi-year deal, making her the first $1 million-plus player in franchise history. They also brought back Lexie Hull, a move she announced alongside Caitlin Clark in a viral TikTok posted from Augusta, where they were likely attending The Masters.
Both Mitchell and Hull have played key roles in Indiana’s success over the past two seasons and remain important pieces alongside Clark and forward Aliyah Boston, the franchise’s two cornerstone players.
One notable name still weighing her decision is fan favorite Sophie Cunningham. Cunningham spent one season in Indiana, averaging 8.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while starting 13 of the 30 games she appeared in before suffering a season-ending injury.

Following Clark and Hull’s TikTok, Clark also sent a playful message to Cunningham in the comments, writing, “[Sophie] hey, what’s up, what you doing?”
Cunningham responded, “The no invite is CRAZYYYYY! You two better make up for this horrible TikTok.”
Cunningham recently accepted a studio analyst role with USA Network to help cover the WNBA this season, though it is expected to coexist with her playing career.
She is likely drawing strong interest for her versatility as a two-way player who can either start or provide a spark off the bench. However, her future with the Indiana Fever remains uncertain, despite her close ties with Caitlin Clark, Lexie Hull, and the rest of the roster.
On Saturday, Indiana also agreed to a deal with forward Monique Billings. With the draft set for Monday night, the Fever are expected to continue rounding out the roster. While there are still several open spots, Cunningham could ultimately explore opportunities elsewhere.
